WIN98SE2, OUTLOOK EXPRESS 5 (OE5)
It doesnt work - It can be done, i registered with izymail to try to download all my email from yahoo to my OE. It worked fine as a POP reader - but only allowed me a limited number of emails unless I pay for a sub. No thanks.
If I could bulk forward my yahoo email to someplace else, I would not need YPOP or similar.
Lets hope a solution comes soon.

Hi
I am running ypops on a xp professional system. I experience repeated downloads of the same e-mail and login errors to yahoo.com, as well as to yahoo.ca. Usually after three or four times tries to download the system succeeds and then thereafter ypops terminates for no identifiable reasons.
Any one who experiences similar behaviour of the software? Anyone with a solution?
Tx

I'm using Pop Peeper at http://www.poppeeper.com in the meantime. Its great for viewing and deleting yahoo email, altho it can't be used to download email into another client. (make sure you download the latest webmail file.)

This program blows YPops out of the water in many aspects. Thanks for giving us this info! After using Pop Peeper for the past 3 hours, I feel no need to ever go back to YPoPs. As you said, you can't use it to d/l mail into another client, but it has it's own application to read the mail in, PLUS it's PORTABLE! You can install it on a USB stick, set up all your accounts on it, and use it from any public computer! YPoPs has nothing on this program.

I am now unable to connect. My configuration:
Outlook Express 6, Ypops 0.9.7.3, Win XP Pro SP2 inside a Win NT network protected by a firewall/proxy.

POP3 port is 9110, SMTP Port is 925. Is there anything wrong with my setup?

I'm a bit worried about Anuj Seth not showing up for so long. I understand that probably he's busy with his job, but would be nice to at least have some news from him. Just to know how is proceeding the developement.

Thanks!

Finally !

I have successfully dowloaded (old) Yahoo email into Outlook 2003.

The email and attachments arrived in tact.

Version 0.9.7.3 did (still) require help from curl 7.19.4.

The operating system here is XP

The issue seems to be something internal to the servers themselves, I've been able to use pops on a couple of my accounts, on others, it's downloading ghost messages from the server.

Ouch. I too hate it when a new product falls directly on its face. Several other posters have seen the same error I've seen with this version. It dies before collecting.

IMAP Response Dump: 2

Inglese, por favor.

It logs in OK. It stops responding after that message which should be +OK (and whatever) which is clearly not being sent back to the POP3 port that was communicating.

Funny thing is that I upgraded to 0.9.7.3 because 0.9.5.14 had started failing also after 3/12/9. It was getting Failed Gets. (no pun intended).

This is a great utility and I would really like to support this product and distribute it but dead releases are not funny.

Also, I posted to ypops sourceforge last week but that seems to be a dead letter office.

I have some trouble with this version:
Downloading of emails is so slow and time consuming with highspeed internet. (2 hours for 20 KB so it can not work with dial up at all!).when downloading of emails start, 100% of CPU is used and whole machine is working very slowly. Actually, working with this software for downloading of emails in outlook is not possible.
My machine is VIOA VGN-SZ79GN, with Windows XP, proffesional SP3, Microsoft outlook 2007.
