YPOPs!/Windows 0.9.7.3 Released

Hi, thanks for finally releasing the new Ypops.
I've been having the same problem since I installed it. It keeps on downloading old emails (way back Nov 2008) and doesn't even download until January 2009. When I delete those messages and restart outlook, it downloads the same old messages. The emails are not all downloaded, since it only loads I think until the end of November 2008.
I hope someone can help me on this. Thank you.

YPOPS stopped working for me in mid January. I have downloaded and installed multiple versions. None seems to work anymore. There is an Authorization error on log in, that I do not know how to correct. The error has been the same in all versions I have tried. Here is the latest log file.

Hi Anuj! As you can see I'm new here and I hope as many others to find help. I have been using Ypops for some times and then I could receive all my mails but I had to send the first mail 3 times for it go. But after that the other sendings were functioning good. I've now downloaded this version 0.9.7.3 an Nothing functions No sending no reception. And that not just with my yahoo adress. Outlook cannot build a connection to my outgoing server (SMTP) What does that mean?? . I' not a computer expert and i dont realy know what to do. And there is also this this Network password I'm asked to give and even when I save this pasword the window keep comming up.
I tried as I read on many forums to start Outlook on safe mode, I created a new profile and disactivated my antivirus programm but nothing seems to function. My OS is Vista Business and I use Outlook 2007.
So I hope that with my explanations you could make a picture of my problem and will find the time to help me.

YPOPs!/Windows 0.9.7.3 has been released.

Changelog:
1. Removed ALL third-party libraries (curl, openssl, ...). IMAP<>POP3 does not rely on any of them. When we get to fixing SOAP and SMTP, I'll reintroduce the correct libraries
2. The code has been run thru a Memory checker (Boundschecker) and a few memory corruptions have been fixed.
3. There is no need to install the VC++ 2008 redistributable files.
4. Fix for TOP

Like Catk, I can confirm that I can not receive (download) or send anything from Outlook Express with the new YPoPs version. I have installed Windows XP SP3 on my computer. The procesor have a big workload for ypops.exe.

Maybe you should re-enter some libraries on the setup file for YPoPs.

Ypops 9.5.14 recently stopped working for me giving RETR unable to download message so I download 9.7.3 and it isn't working.

On several occasions it has sent my computer to 100% CPU,
on other occasions Thunderbird attempts to connect and then times out after about a minute.

I'm like others. I was on 9.5, and it didn't receive mail at all any more. Today I downloaded 9.7.3 and it keeps finding the same old deleted message; new ones are received, but only sometimes.
Another thing I have noticed is that even though I clicked in the configuration to load ypops at startup, it does not automatically load it, and it didn't with 9.5. Maybe it's my computer. I run Windows XP. So I have to load it manually, which is okay...

Thanks the great job you are doing, anyway. It must be difficult to keep up.

Like some other posters I am having difficulties with the 0.9.7.3 version of YPOPS. I had been using the last official release of 0.9.5.x until I began having difficulty getting my emails. Reading some of the posts, it looked like 0.9.7.3 was the answer but I cannot keep it running when Outlook 2003 tries to download email. (I'm running Vista-32 Home Premium SP1). YPOPS starts fine but as soon as the fetch email occurs, YPOPS crashes with the error message "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Although this release came as a great gift from the developer who returned the life to YPOPS after being dead for quite some time, but there still some issues need to be fixed.

one of the issues I am having is that when I receive new email; ypops will download another email i received few days earlier and not the new one, and after few days i will get the email that was missed by YPOPS.

it looks like that there is an identification issue for the email which is affcted by manual deletion of emails (through direct access to yahoo) and the counters are not syncronized or some thing like that.

it also seems to take up a lot of cpu time and I have to stop it thru the task manager.

YPOPs! v0.9.7.3 and v0.9.7.1 increase CPU usage to 99%.

My configuration: Windows XP SP3, Outlook 2007.
Steps to reporoduce:
1. Try to download emails from your yahoo account
2. Before it downloads click "Cancell All"
3. check CPU usage in the Task Manager

I’m a newbie to this forum and rather a freebie so to say. I installed YPOPs! 0.9.7.3 (your brain-child!) on my PC and spent hours trying with various alternative mail configuration settings on Outlook 2002 and Outlook Express 6; but to my utter despair it did not work at all. My OS is Windows XP Professional SP-2 and I want YPOPs! to work nicely on either of my above-mentioned mail clients. Hence, please suggest some suitable measures so that I can get YPOPs! to handle my mail downloadings reliably. Best regards,

As of today- afternoon EST- reports v 0.9.7.3 "corrupted"- several downloads, no change.
It would be helpful if you could post an MD5 for the file for verification.
