YPOPs!/Windows 0.9.7.3 Released

Hi, I've tried all the recommendations I found from this thread but nothing still works for me.

I am using ypops 0.9.7.3 on Vista x64 and Outlook 2007
I have done two things based on recommendations found herein and IT WORKS!
First for smtp I am using my ISPs smtp server and I send emails just fine
I have changed the pop3 port to 2000 on both ypops and outlook and again no issue

I am just using it YPOPs, it was successfully downloaded email from my yahoo. Unfortunately everytime I got the email, the YPOPs crash (it seemed I got all email, but it didnt delete the email in yahoo server, as the results I got multiple email). The crash message box was
The instruction at "0x00444e86" referenced memory at 0x20455a49 the momory couldnot be read.
and My system :
Windows 2000 Server SP4, 2GB RAM, Intel XEON 3GHzx2. Standard YPOPs configuration. McAfee Desktop Firewall 8.5, Norton Antivirus 10 and Outlook 2000.

Unfortunately all I get are write violations when I try to install either 0.9.7.3 or 0.9.7.1
I am using Vista Home Premium 64bit - is that why?
I rebooted and tried again - same results.

Aha! I stopped my firewall and AV software and it installed just fine, thank you all for that tip.
It has some problems but works well enough. Thank you for updating it!

I have just tried out Ypops 0.9.7.3 on XP SP2 and Outlook express and it constantly downloads old emails that are not on the the Yahoo server, but ignores new ones. Is there something I can do to fix this? Previously I was using Freepops, and this was working fine for many months, but after I upgraded to XP SP2 and AVG 8 from AVG 7.5 it refused to work at all, which is why I am here at Ypops!

Change to the FreePOPs. Works very well.

I did say in my post that the reason I abandoned Freepops was because it stopped working after I upgraded to SP2 and AVG 8 from 7.5. I dont know which of these stopped Freepops, but I tried everthing to get it working again to no avail.
Will Ypops have the duplicating old mail bug sorted out in the near future?

I'm using your cute software to send and get my mails on yahoo servers for more than 3 years ;
but I have a big problem about 3 month! , I can't download or send any mails with yahoo account and your software!
my OS is Windows Vista SP1 32bit and my mailing software is "Windows Live Mail";
I setup the yahoo account as your instruction:
email address : aliaslanpour@yahoo.com
incoming server : 127.0.0.1
outgoing server : 127.0.0.1
outgoing mail (SMTP) : 25
incoming mail (POP3) : 110
servers timeout : 5 minutes
check box of outgoing mail server : checked
username : aliaslanpour
password : ... (it is true!) ...
check box of "include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing" : checked
...
but when I connect to the yahoo server, I get this error massage:
Unable to send or receive messages for the Yahoo (aliaslanpour) account. A time-out occurred while communicating with the server.

Server: '127.0.0.1'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC19
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
...
can you help me to solve this problem?

Well as I already said I change to the FreePOPs and I can read mails. I sent mails with my isp provider server. Works fine.

I could only get freepops to work if I changed to yahoo's new version. It's truly hideous and not worth the "cost" (worst-looking interface and functionality I've seen in a long time). I would rather use ypops, if anyone's going to get it working again for downloading yahoo mail. It worked so well for me for many months. CAN WE PLEASE GET AN UPDATE?

I forgot to say that I'm using Windows Live Mail with FreePOPs.

Well it sort of works for me. It downloaded a few messages from my Inbox , then downloaded a lot of spam from my Spam folder then crashed
