I've noticed a strange problem with both my 64-bit and 32-bit Ubuntu Gutsy machines. YPOPs! daemon won't stay running. It runs and works ok for a couple of queries to yahoo, then just stops on my 64-bit. On my 32-bit, it runs for maybe one or 2 minutes, then stops. I've worked around the issue by setting up a cron job to start the daemon every minute, so it's not a big deal, but still bizarre.
I'm still looking into it, gotta figure out how to turn on some massive logging to find out whats going on. Just figured I'd drop a note here more as a work-log I guess. If anyone has any pointers in the mean time, throw them at me. I'm running Thomas' 0.9.5.1 deb package on my 32, and the 64 I compiled from Thomas' source. Has this behavior only been viewed on Ubuntu 7.10? Anybody from 7.04 or 6.x seen anything like this?
