Just making an apportation to see if it can be of any help. I am currently using:
OS: Windows Vista
Mail Client: Outlook 2007
AV: Avast!
Tried first v0.9.5.14, and couldn't send/receive any mail. Funny thing though, when I went to Tools->Account Settings and went to the configuration for my Yahoo mail account, when I press the Test Account Settings... button I got the following:
Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): OK
Send test e-mail message: Task 'user@yahoo.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR message 1 could not be downloaded'
Doing a full send/receive mail gives the following message:
Task 'user@yahoo.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR message 1 could not be downloaded'
So I uninstalled v0.9.5.14 and installed v0.9.5.11, and got the following message when doing a full send/receive:
Task 'user@yahoo.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR message 1 could not be downloaded'
Finally, uninstalling v0.9.5.11 and installing v0.9.5.9 gave me the following message when doing a full send/receive:
Task 'user@yahoo.com - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Here are the log files for the send/receive I did on the 3 versions:
BTW, on every full send/receive I made, I was never sending any email just trying to retrieve mail from my Yahoo account. That is why you may have noticed that there are no error messages for mail sending, only for receiving it (except for the Test Account Settings try-out in which Outlook 2007 automatically sends a test message).
Hope this information can be of any help!
