YPOPs! 0.9.5.14 has been released!

I have the same problem everyone else has on this page.... it worked fine up until 6 days ago.... I thought something was wrong with the Ypops so i downloaded the new one today.... now im miserable because i cant send anything.

What can i do? use an old version? How do i find one?

I just loaded this version on my new computer (Vista) & the error message I get is this:

The connection was rejected by incoming server, 127.0.0.1.

pop3 functionality is not configured correctly with IncrediMail.

I have gone to "documentation" from the "home" page & followed each step to a T on configuring ypops w/IncrediMail & still nothing. I have restarted everything & still nothing.

ETA: the previous version of ypops was working fine on my old computer (XP)...maybe I should install the previous version? Where can I go to get the old version?

ETA: nevermind...found the old version...

ETA: I can't get old version to work @ all! Same error message.

On a test sytem using Outlook 2003 & Outlook 2007, the SEND Failed accross all account types ; results were consistent:

SEND FAIL!
-Classic 2008+ Interface (i.e. no FXXX Server version)
Bad Request
-All-New-Mail Interface
Page Cannot be found

RECEIVE OK!
(Both Interfaces)


Rolling back to x.x.x.11 appears to work better for some users, worse for others

As a matter of fact...

I have attached a couple of files. While attempting to use v0.9.5.14, the program would not generate an activity log even though the option to do so had been selected, so the document attached shows only the popups I received while using the 'test account settings' feature in Outlook 2003. The other attachments contain the log info generated while attempting to use v0.9.5.9 and v0.9.5.1. I'll be trying v0.9.5.11 momentarily and will post the results as a subsequent reply.

I hope this helps. The info you requested in an earlier post is listed again below just for reference.

I am able to download messages - using Thunderbird, Windows XP home, Service Pack 3, but each time it looks for mail I get the error message " This Program cannot display the webpage" ... whcih is annoying.

Have attached log file for v0.9.5.11 and finally got .14 to generate a log file, so I've attached it as well.

I have also ATTEMPTED to use YPOPs older versions 0.9.5.0 and 0.9.5.8. Pretty much getting the same general errors across the board, but my take on it lacks expert knowledge. If you need the logs from those versions, I have them. Just contact me via pm, email or post a reply.

ETA: Here are the details of the error message -

Socket Error: 10061, Port: 995, Protocol: POP.No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

I'm getting tired of not being able to use my yahoo account this way. It finally worked fine on my XP machine & NOTHING on my Vista 64.

Another thing that a little bit annoying is YPOPs! created YPOPs folder in the \Documents and Settings\User Name\ not in \Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data which I think is more appropiate. Pardon for my bad english and once thanks for the developer of this program.

I can't get any version to work on my Vista 64. I've decided to uninstall it. When I did, it asked if I wanted the configuration settings deleted as well. I clicked "yes" but it came back saying it couldn't. Why? How do I remove "everything" of ypops? TIA
