Well, this worked for me!

I've been using the Yahoo mail "classic" and when I switched it yesterday to the "all-new mail" option, viola Ypops worked fine!

So, definitely try that if you're having problems! :)

What is the "all-new-mail" option? Just the other interface besides classic? Which Yahoo mail server are you using? The Yahoo mail server i get is usmg1 and whether I use classic or new mail I still can't send emails without trying 3 times!

I have also been having trouble retrieving mail from yahoo had it working with the new mail in yahoo, using 0.9.6 can send fine, can not receive
the only way i can get mail to come in outlook 2007 is check it at yahoo.com then once its marked a read or not being new it will shoot into yahoo fine, it just has trouble with new mail sending to from yahoo to outlook read mail works, please let me know if anyone else has same issue. :D Hope it gets fixed soon
My sever on the account thats not working is:http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com the account that is work is on server:http://us.mg2.mail.yahoo.com/ both are yahoo accounts check out your servers and see what account works for you post back

Well, I don't know what happened...

Users have said to try switching to the new interface and back to classic. that never worked for me...
Maybe it's a time thing, since it's been about 30 mins since switching the mail, but it finally downloaded (at least one of my accounts).

I'm using the latest version of 0.9.5.4.

Here's the funny part:

I was trying to look at my ypops.log file. it is 77mb. frustrated how slow it was, i just closed ypops and renamed my log file to ypops.log.old. start ypops and hit download on one of my yahoo accounts and it started working. Yes, I know about the check box to limit file size. I think I changed it back in May when all my accounts stopped working the first time.

This may or may not be related.

Well, I don't really know what kind of belated April Fools' Day joke that tip should be. Free Yahoo (.com) Mail ymail-addresses running with the "all new" surface cannot even logged in to pick up the mails neither by Outlook nor by Thunderbird. The message after entering the password: "negative vibes from "username @ymail.com", whatever that means!

:P Although this method of reading and sending mails using the yahoo server appears to be flaky,I could receive but not send, after reading this strring I changed my account back to CLASSIC and it now works fine , for now.
I also reduced my session time to 6000 this made a big difference to the logging in failurs I was receiving.

Note: It did take a day or so for the connection to start working after I changed the interface from Classic to New on my 2 accounts I use at Yahoo. I was just about to give up on YPops! and decided to check one last time before uninstalling it and lo and behold it started to work a couple of days after making that change. I can Send and Receive without problems in OE and the BAT!

Thanks Guys ; ^ )

I have tried all of the Above. Tried various versions as was suggested in this forum. NOTHING WORKED.
For most everyone who has been able to get it to Work , and for those who have given up hope... Answers to these Qs may help:
1. What OS have you installed this on. WinXP?
2. What is the Service pack?
3. WHAT IS THE EXACT USER AGENT USED?. I tried 951 as suggested in this link, and It was just stuck at "Authorizing" & when I used a different User Agent... it threw up a window with Yahoo didnt accept credentials - Try to set the Cookie timeout value to Half using the Ypops setting for Session..."Keep Session Alive"
Something on those lines...

Another Link with a lot of answers/suggestions...

My Laptop is from Oct 2004 & has SP2. But I replaced my motherboard, and resurrected the laptop , by running the DELL Driver Reset tool. But sometimes I still see flaky behaviour, especially IE8
I am just about installing SP3. I will post back here on what I find. I hope it works though!.
