Task 'uername - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800

I received this error message when trying to receive emails.

Task 'uername - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8007000E): 'Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.'

I have 512mb of ram, running windows XP Pro.
