pop before smtp auth using an uknown transport?

Postby nycjeff on November 12th, 2007, 10:40 pm

So I'm using ypops and evolution on ubuntu.
I am able to download from yahoo, but am having trouble sending mail.
The error I get is:
pop before smtp auth using an uknown transport

I'm really not sure why I get this. It seems to come up from evolution no matter what options I try. I'm not sure if the error is coming from ypops or from evolution, or somewhere else.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

anyone have any suggestions on where I ought to look? I thought I set it up as I should, but nothing seems to be working for me.
The thing that gets me is that I'm not using pop before smtp to get my mail, as far as I know. Does Ypops use that with yahoo?

Is SMTP enabled in your YPOPs! settings?

What errors do you see in the YPOPs log file?
