Please HELP!!! OE6 Error: The connection to the server

Discussion Forum for YPOPs!/Linux.

Is it worth it to purchase a Premium Yahoo!Mail account for POP3 access if I am willing to do so?

YES! If you are willing to blow your money, its a good idea.

NO! YPOPS (should you get it to work) is sufficient.

Please HELP!!! OE6 Error: The connection to the server

Postby allmoore on December 4th, 2005, 7:03 am

I get the following error message when attempting to send email using YPOPS:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'YPOPS', Server: '127.0.0.1', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

YPOPS worked previously for me, but I recently did a format and fresh install of windows and now I can't get it to work.

Also, when checking for new emails, OE6 reports success but none of the 186 unread emails have been downloaded.

PLEASE HELP, and please reply to this post to the email address [email protected]

Please find your way to the correct forum, post your issue there, include your YPOPs advanced log file & we'll try to help you.

& Noooo, we're not going to send you an email with the fix or to tell you to come back to the forum. If you want that, you need to set it up so you get notifications.
