Password Protection -- problem with HTTPS mode. Help!

Postby gothor on September 26th, 2004, 2:57 pm

Heyas,

I can't send mail after using Password Protection: HTTPS. Thunderbird just keeps asking for my password over and over without sending the message, and checking "remember this password" does nothing.

Can anyone help me out here? I don't want to send my password as plain text and I have no idea what MD5 (which works) is or how good it is at keeping my password out of the hands of hackers.

Any advice on getting HTTPS passwords to work would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Download the modified libcurl.dll and the new beta version .6 off Daniel's beta page. See link in sticky faq.
