OSX Hits Brick Wall

Postby raywinstone on August 9th, 2004, 1:45 am

Hey

trying to run following the OSX instructions and additional comments - all very helpful - but effectively hit one of many brick walls. malloc_zone_malloc[1114] argument too large, yahoo not able to connect to localhost, yahoo rejecting password.

Is anyone addressing these concerns or shall I go scream into a paper bag? It seems that the users may have an answer ...

In any case any help from any source would be much appreciated!

Maybe we can all add our voices here.

I've been having the exact same problem, and -- maybe this is a coincidence, but I don't think so -- it seems to stem from Yahoo's "system upgrade." Everything was totally fine up until then.

As that magical date of April 29th, 2002 (or whatever it was) recedes into the landscape, it seems the urgency to work out POP3 access to Yahoo has subsided greatly. And rightly so... It seems most have moved on to other services by this point. I would simply like to get my Yahoopops working one last time so I can download the mail that's there and stop using the account.
