new error on Mac -- mail won't download

Hi. I have been using yahoopops (from 103104) for over a year now with my OS 10.4.10 and Thunderbird. Suddenly yesterday I got this error message:
The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server localhost responded: message 1 could not be downloaded.

I tried deleting the "problem" emails and restarting both Thunderbird and yahoopops, but nothing fixed the problem. I thought maybe I needed to update my yahoopops, but after reading some things on this site, it sounds like the problem is with Yahoo Beta. I cannot find a way to switch the Beta off.

I've also sort of gathered that your team is not working on Macs right now, so a new release is not likely.

Please let me know if there is any way I can get some help. Thank you!

ETA: actually, I'm not using Yahoo Beta. Sorry!

This is problem facing all YPOPs! users currently.

I'm working on a patch to get this fixed. A patch for Windows is available for me to get some quick feedback. Check the homepage.

Once I get feedback from users that its working fine, I'll focus on getting the Beta interface tested out.

The sources will be made available on CVS over the weekend.

You can pick that up and build again for Mac. That should fix the problem you're facing.
