I have set YahooPOPs to download messages, leaving them on the server, unread.
This works wonderfully.
As I am leaving the messages on the server as unread, I would like to limit the number of emails it downloads in one session to 4. So it should download the most recent 4 unread messages and leave them on the server as unread.
However if there are more then 4 unread messages, it seems to have an error:
In Outlook:
Task '127.0.0.1 - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC90) : 'Your incoming (POP3) e-mail server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The server responded: -ERR message 5 could not be downloaded'
In yahoo pops:

First of all, should this really be an error? All you have done is told it to only download 4 messages. Why does it try and download a 5th. Should it know that there is a 5th?
Secondly, when it gives this error, having downloaded the max number of emails, it doesn't mark these 4 emails as unread as it should.
Is this a bug in the software? Could this be rectified? Is there a setting I could change to make this work?
Thanks for your help!
Ben
