Is YPOPs Still Working With US Yahoo Mail Classic?

I’ve been using YPOPs! 0.9.7.3 to try to get my free Yahoo Mail classic account to read into my Thunderbird 1.9.1.3728 client. I get a message from Thunderbird that the “Connection to server yahoo.com timed out” when I try to access US non-premium (no Yahoo POPS) Yahoo Mail accounts, but foreign free Yahoo Mail accounts with POPS work OK as does Gmail (YPOPs is up and running in my Task Manager). Are there some settings I am missing getting correct in YPOPs or has something been recently changed in Yahoo Mail?
