Is it illegal to to post a binary of YahooPOPs?

I was wondering why this is so. Unlike the Win32 version, I saw no pre-compiled versions of YahooPOPs for the Mac. For a dialup user like me, I'm having a difficult time supplying the pre-requisites on compiling YahooPOPs.

aside to that, im just running Jaguar (MacOSX 10.2). so using alternatives like Mr.Postman would still be difficult to implement because i remembered that the latest Java for OSX requires Panther.

if it won't be illegal to post a pre-compiled YahooPOPs for OSX, it would be greately appreciated if someone could do it. perhaps email me a copy instead.
