I have found another workaround for the MC server problem

It's at the end of the 0961 Alpha thread, but since it works (at least for me) I figured I'd post it here for others to see/try.

Make sure your MC server account is using the new interface (so you are on the MG servers). This will not work with the classic interface.

Now you should already be able to receive email by doing this, but unable to send (I'm using Firefox/Thunderbird and version 0951).

Make sure YPOPs is running. Login to your Yahoo mail account in your browser (the new interface), and then log out. You should now be able to send emails thru YPOPs. Occasionally I've seen the first attempt fail, but then just wait a moment, try again, and it should go thru.

Unfortunately you need to do this anytime YPOPs is shutdown and restarted, including every time you start your machine. So it's not a fix, merely a workaround.

I'm still testing to see if the one initial browser login is good for the entire day. I will periodically send myself mail and see if it craps out at some point.

then I put in ypops-win-0.9.5.3.exe
so what is the stable one you want me to test?

then when I went to change it said I had the wrong version of firefox.
so upgraded both.

Since I know nothing about how this program works I am in no position to tell you how this is relevant. But it's the difference between success and failure in sending. Figure out why, and you're likely to solve the problem. The failure is using UTF-8 and the success isn't -- could this have something to do with it?

I disabled the Use of UTF-8 as mailto & It worked
Yahoo Mail does encode in UTF-8 though - I checked the API doccs form Yahoo Developers Network

Thx Avaggio - you may be onto a permanent winner with UTF-8 as it's a different in your log files - i'll test out for few days
