google alerts not retrievable

I've been using Ypops 0.9.6 Alpha 1 which resolved all problems I had previously, but recently I noticed Outlook Express ceased retrieving my email again, and I had accumulated several hundred messages to be retrieved. Investigating, I moved all my Inbox messages to a temp folder and by moving individual messages to the Inbox I found that all messages EXCEPT google alerts could be retrieved. Every google alert email produces the following error message when I attempt to retrieve them.

Message number 1 could not be retrieved. Account: 'POP3', Server: '127.0.0.1',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR message 1 could not be downloaded',
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800420CD
