Error 0x800CCC0E when sending emails

I started having this problem last week when trying to send emails.


The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'localhost', Server: 'localhost', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E


Any suggestions??

The same happens to me.

I used the former version and the new beta version . Could not send mail with with the three versions.

Make sure you can send through the web interface.
There may be a challenge screen waiting for a reply.

Then change "localhost" as your server name to 127.0.0.1 in your email client and give it another try.

Would be interesting to see the Yahoopops.log file (with settings showing in advanced mode) during that send attempt.

What is in this file on your computer?

Use Internet Explorer to view.
It should be in your c:\program files\yahoopops folder

You can see Ypops gave this answer
Yahoo! has not accepted the message

Here is a 554 error description
554 Transaction failed (not to helpful)

If you cannot get SMTP working through Ypops, you can just use your
ISP's SMTP server. This is how Freepops works (it has no built in SMTP).
