Double dots (periods)

This is an odd problem. When I compose an email and add my name as the final word followed by a period, YPOPS adds an extra period after my name. So for example, if I were to compose an email:
Hello,
This is some text.

Adeeb.

The recipient receives:
Hello,
This is some text.

Adeeb..

Notice the extra period (dot) after my name in the sent email.

This does not happen if the email was ended with any other word (at least I don't think so), and does not happen if no periods were used after my name; i.e., if I sign my name as Adeeb then that is what is sent, no periods after that (as expected).

I was using build #ltD040806b just fine until this problem started surfacing about two days ago. This problem persists in the latest experimental build #ltD040915a. This is a new problem, what changed?

I compose emails using MS Outlook 2002 SP1.
