As noted in another topic, the binary doesn't run on Panther. As another user posted:
"When I run yahoopops it starts ok and sometimes it retrieves email ok through the mac mail program. Using localhost for host, port 5058, and my username and password. However, most of the time right after I put in a password it gets the malloc zone error. In the log file it says password received from client, then connecting to yahoo, then it throws the error."
I get the same error here:
*** malloc_zone_malloc[24862]: argument too large: 4269756914
Then my email client requests for the password. If I try to retrieve the email's again, I get the same error, but the last number in the error message changes.
Please, update the mac version. It will be much appreciated!
