CPU Usage - 80 - 100%

Hi,

I am using the last version, and I noticed that the cpu usage is almost 100%. Sometimes, the computer hangs, and it comes to the normal only when I kill the process (Ypop). I am using an Intel Core 2 dual and 2GB ram on vista sp2 (but i have seen the same situation on xp pro sp3). it doesnt matter which email program you are using.....the pop port used is 150, and the smtp used is 250, and the internal loopback is 127.0.0.1.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve it, or if it is a problem?

I am using YPOPs 0.9.7.3 on XP Pro SP3, with Thunderbird, on two different machines and they both exhibit runaway CPU with YPOPs and no mail is downloaded (one of the computers had this problem since 0.9.7.1). I am noticing a response below about another program using that port- is there any way to find out who does this and terminate it? A phantom YPOPs that we are not aware of? what port are we talking about?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
