Attention those applying rules to their client mailboxes!

Hello.

I have been browsing and reading this forum for a while, and have noticed that some of you, including myself, have had problems with YPops downloading the same email multiple times, and also failing to download all emails from the server and delete them afterwards.

Firstly, I am running XP Pro and Outlook 2003 with the latest builds etc, long server timeouts, ... but this may apply to more than those with the same setup.

It seems to me that using rules on your inbox annoys / causes YPops to muck up, basically. I had rules whereby all emails would come into my Inbox, and then be diverted automatically to the sub-inboxes, based on which address the email was sent to. So, my yahoo ones would go to Yahoo, hotpop to Hotpop folder, etc. I tried removing these rules today, and having all emails just go into and stay in the inbox. Instead I have coloured them differently depending on the "sent to" property.

Following this, I have successfully downloaded and deleted about 300 emails from the Yahoo server. I hope this helps someone, somewhere...
